Job Summary : The Client Services Manager (Account Manager) is responsible for maintaining contacts with new and existing clients, in order to meet or exceed the revenue targets at Covance CRU. This position sits within the Business Development department and works alongside our Account Executives. Key Job Duties and Responsibilities: Be responsible for the proposal co-ordination and generation process within Covance CRU (for Phase I, Phase IIa and Pharmacometrics business lines). Co-ordinate all functions within Covance CRU and elsewhere in the Covance offices to ensure accurate and timely response to client’s enquiries. Negotiate with clients over pricing, method of payment, contract terms and conditions (in conjunction with the Senior Manager of Client Services) and study scheduling to meet their requirements at the highest financial return for Covance CRU. Visit existing and potential (where assigned) Covance CRU clients within UK, Europe and wherever designated, as appropriate. Liaise with Covance offices as appropriate. Develop business relationships with new and existing clients in order to maximise potential repeat business opportunities. Education: BSc in scientific discipline preferable or relevant practical experience, plus a minimum of 3 years experience in drug development (pharmaceutical industry or CRO).
